JOB SUMMARY Human Resources Generalist - Leave Specialist, must be an expert in the coordination, execution, and communication of employee leave management. Including processing leave for FMLA, ADA accommodation request, short and long-term disability insurances, and life events. Will oversee and manage the administering of employee benefits, medical, dental, visions, life, 401K, and annual performance evaluations.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the organization's leaves (LOA/FMLA) and disability claims by providing extensive case management with existing cases and any applicable claims.Builds business relationships with employee, department leaders, and supervisors and maintains appropriate contact with employee and department management to educate, provide status updates, guidance to effectively manage leaves, and resolve matters related to employee leaves.Provides written and/or oral communication on approved and denied leaves. Thoroughly document information regarding each leave case and keep leave tracker up to date. Contacts the providers to obtain further information or clarification on employee leave cases.Timely manages the accurate data entry of new and returning leaves of absence status into the HRIS system.  Run reports to track absences and identifying any discrepancies requiring review and provide follow up with employee, manager and/or Human Resources Director.Responsible for scheduling appointment to meet with employees needing to provide physician return to work clearance and sending communication notifications to managers. Assist employees in their understanding of their benefits.Process terminations in HRIS and send internal notifications.Enter all new hires and terminations into benefit and 401(k) vendor systems and completions of I-9s.Assist and leads various human resources projects.Assist in light employee relation issues.Maintains a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and oral/written communications skills are required.Successful working collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor's Degree in Business/Human Resources or related filed.Must have a minimum of one-year previous high-volume leave, LOA and FMLA, work experience.Must have excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Skype)Previous work experience using various operating systems; using an applicant tracking systems and human resources operating systems. Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
