Responsibilities
• Leads execution of activities to support the Event Management strategy• Ensures property is informed of all groups that will impact operations• Maintains cleanliness and inventory levels of meeting space and equipment• Oversees catering menu development and compliance to food handling standards• Consults with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events• Assumes leadership in guest hospitality and service delivery• Manages customer budgets and champions standards and procedures• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints• Develops relationships with vendors to enhance event experience• Works with HR to ensure compliance and effective communication• Reviews staffing levels to meet operational needs
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of event management experience• or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management with 2 years of experience• Experience in food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
