Palenque LSNA (formerly known as Logan Square Neighborhood Association) is a community-based organization building power for education, immigration, and housing equity, particularly in the Avondale, Hermosa, and Logan Square neighborhoods of Chicago, and leads and collaborates with coalitions for policy change across the city and state.

Summary of Responsibilities: As a Housing Organizer your job will be to connect people to our organization, interview and transcribe experiences of diverse stakeholders, help distribute information door to door, be an ambassador at community events, coordinate workshops and facilitate meetings between stakeholders and decision makers. A successful organizer is invested in the success of the entire organization and will be a team player supporting the work of multiple departments. The organizer will be part of a team focused on housing justice and report directly to Palenque
LSNA's director of housing. There will be weekly staff meetings. The Housing Organizer will represent Palenque LSNA at coalition meetings. The Housing Organizer will be responsible for coordinating a monthly housing committee meeting and be a liaison between the organization and the housing committee members.
Hours Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm, some evenings and weekends
Hybrid Position which may include some inner city travel.
Salary: 20.00 per hour plus benefits Benefits: Paid time off for sick, personal, holidays, and annual vacations. Palenque LSNA covers 80% of health benefits and offers a 401(k) plan. Palenque LSNA offers paid days off the last week of December through the first of the year. Flexible work environment, including the possibility of some remote work.
