We're looking for a professional, experienced housekeeping manager to perform impeccable housekeeping services and provide our guests with a safe and clean environment for an exceptional stay with us. You'll lead the housekeeping team, ensure team members comply with high standards of cleanliness and sanitation protocol, and oversee the housekeeping department budget. Experience in a supervisory role overseeing housekeeping staff or a similar role is required. If you have excellent communication skills and leadership experience, we highly encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas dailyDocument areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests to the front officeOversee the housekeeping department budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning suppliesEnsure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as neededHire and train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning duties and deliver customer satisfaction to our expectationsKeep a record of areas cleaned by room attendants and make a note of any issues such as room damage or maintenance requestsOrder cleaning supplies as needed, control and maintain inventory to ensure everything is adequately stocked and manage the department budgetEnsure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as neededManage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areasHire and train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning duties and deliver customer satisfaction to our expectationsTo manage all facets of the Housekeeping Department ensuring high levels of guest service and satisfaction, including guest rooms, laundry, public areas, department storage areas and work areasEnforce standard procedures for the acceptance, security, and return on guest lost and found itemsCompiles and reports accurate status of guest rooms to front officeFlexibility to work various schedules as business demands including weekends and holidaysQualifications:The ideal applicant is an experienced leader who demonstrates great attention to detail and customer service skillsThis position requires a high school diploma or GEDAt least 2+ years experience in hospitality or guest servicesAt least 3 years of experience in a senior role in the housekeeping departmentStrong understanding of environmental services (EVS) including cleaning processes and how to use a variety of cleaning supplies and equipmentAbout Company:The Best Western Williamsburg Historic District hotel features 140 contemporary guest rooms.
