Hotel Sales Coordinator

Our successful hotel is looking for a hospitality professional with a sales mindset to assist in helping grow our hotel. You will serve as a liaison between the sales department and the front desk to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience at our hotel in addition to attracting new guests to increase our revenue. You'll be in charge of responding to guest inquiries, contacting potential new guests based on networking and referral leads, and assisting the sales team with administrative tasks. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills as well as previous sales experience. Please apply as soon as possible if this describes you!Responsibilities:Present prospective clients with sales presentations and other materials that promote event space, dining options, and facility featuresRecognize opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding guest satisfaction for the hotel groupManage schedules, file important documents, and communicate relevant information from the sales team to stakeholders and hotel departmentsProspect a list of company and referral leads generated through research, networking, social media, special eventsServe as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requestsQualifications:Stays organized and manage time wellDemonstrates a proven track record of success in salesExhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilitiesMust possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in business or a similar major is desiredPrior experience working in the hospitality sector is requiredAbout Company:Marriott Schaumburg is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and boasts easy access to the highway for quick drives to downtown Chicago or O'Hare International Airport.
