Hospice Registered Nurse

A Hospice Registered Nurse is responsible for providing compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients who are nearing the end of their life. They work in a hospice care setting and are responsible for providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess the patient's physical and emotional needs and develop a comprehensive plan of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
- Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and end-of-life care.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on the patient's care plan.

Requirements

- Must have a valid nursing license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
