Working in collaboration with Library team members, peer managers, and leaders across the OHSU community, the Head of Learning and Information Services will lead the planning, development, and evaluation of the Library's educational and information services. The position will supervise a team of faculty librarians to serve the evolving needs of OHSU's education, research, and clinical communities.
Position ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Guide expansion of library engagement with OHSU curricula and residency programs.Services and Team Management: Lead the Library's Learning and Information Services team, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous growth in support of education, research, and clinical excellence.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Actively cultivate inclusive practices that support equitable outcomes within the library and for the communities we serve.Advocacy: Build relationships to strengthen the reach of the Learning and Information Services team and tell a compelling story about its contributions.Collaboration: Serve on the Library Management Team and contribute to strategic planning and innovation in support of organizational priorities.Faculty Engagement: As a faculty member, participate in scholarship, research, and service to advance the library's mission.QualificationsWe're Seeking: Background in academic health sciences libraries or education.Experience with information literacy curriculum design and implementation.Proven leadership in team supervision, fostering excellence and well-being.Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion.Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and partnership-building skills. Salary Information: $97,000 minimum annually, commensurate with experience.
