Responsibilities
• Promote trust and respect among associates• Communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve company/store goals• Establish performance goals for the department• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume• Train and develop associates on job performance• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department• Offer product samples to customers• Inform customers of grocery specials• Develop and implement a department business plan• Create and execute sales promotions• Prepare and submit seasonal critiques• Implement the promotional plan• Stay current with ads• Monitor and control expenses• Assist in preparing the store/department budget• Maintain inventory/stocking conditions• Schedule price changes and supervise inventory process• Adhere to food safety regulations• Ensure proper temperatures and safety procedures• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs• Report safety risks or issues• Perform essential job functions
Requirements
• Effective communication skills• Knowledge of basic math• Ability to handle stressful situations• High school or equivalent education preferred• 1 year of customer service experience preferred• 2 years of retail sales experience preferred• Overnight shift availability required
