Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

3 Putt Group in Sussex, WI is looking for one golf course assistant superintendent to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. Educational Requirements
High school graduate. Courses in turfgrass management are beneficial. Turf degree and/or pesticide license are optimal.
Assist and report to the superintendent Daily scouting of the course; checking greens, monitoring moisture, checking for disease, and ensuring the golf course is properly setup for daily play. Train, motivate, and lead the turf care team. Work to ensure facility is compliant in all state and federal laws. Monitors and ensures all safety protocol is being followed. Perform spreader and sprayer calibrations.  Involved in hiring and training staff Irrigation Repair and Trouble Shooting Chemical Applications Communicating with Customers and Clubhouse staff Certificate, 2, or 4 year degree in turf grass management preferred Positive Attitude Desire to come to a property and make an impact and take pride in your work and the work of the team Must have a strong attention to details to enhance the quality of the golf course and to hold the team to the same standards Desire to grow as a turf grass manager in order to advance in their career towards being a Golf Course Superintendent. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. Therefore, the ability to meet and perform the physical requirements of the job and to work effectively in and outdoor environment which is typical in this position is required Ability to lead the team in the absence of the superintendent Ability to train team members in all aspects of our outdoor crew.
