Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach. Round Mountain and the nearby Bald Mountain mine make up Kinross' Nevada operations.The Round Mountain mine is an important contributor to the Nye County economy and, working with local stakeholders, has helped achieve significant improvements in healthcare and education in the area.Job DescriptionUnder the general supervision of the ancillary manager, the incumbent is responsible for supervising employee's and daily operations of the General Store, Golf Course and 9 & Dine Restaurant while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.Job Responsibilities1. Approves and transmits weekly invoices to Accounts Payable2. Receives and sets weekly ad for all grocery departments3. Prepares return items, including packaging and associated paperwork, to Associated Foods4. Able to order all grocery stock5. Plans grocery end displays6. Is familiar with and can perform scanning function7. Responsible for back-room inventory, including orderliness and keeping stock levels low8. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills9. Reviews for accuracy and approves employee time sheets in UKG system10. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct11. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management12. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance13. Works without risk or harm to self and others14. Trains and directs work assignments in all General Store, Golf Course and 9 & Dine areas15. Interview and recommend hiring of staff members16. Possession of a valid driver's license issued by state agency or must be able to pass driver competency course and exam17. Ensures employee compliance with established safety, security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices including money handling and office closing procedures18. Investigates and resolves complaints from customers or staff19. Inspects buildings grounds and equipment20. Works without risk or harm to self and others21. Perform other related functions as assigned by Sr. Supervisor or ManagerEducation and Experience1. Must be able to manage deadlines and multiple tasks2. Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing work processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software3. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management4. Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team5. Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills6. Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets7. Must be able to lead others and provide feedback as necessary8. Must be able to anticipate the desires of the consumer when creating end displays, and react accordingly9. Must be detail oriented10. At least 1-3 years' experience in a retail grocery operation11. Experience as a manager or assistant manager of a retail grocery operation is preferred12. Previous experience in direct supervision of employees is important, as is the ability to work with the public13. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis14.
