Job Summary:The General Manager at Park Place Hotel is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction at our boutique hotel and restaurant located in Traverse City, Michigan. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires a strong knowledge of the hospitality and restaurant industry, as well as excellent leadership and organizational skills.Compensation & Benefits:This role offers a competitive salary of $100,000 per year, paid biweekly. Additionally, the General Manager will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and potential for performance-based bonuses.Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurantHire, train, and manage a team of hospitality and restaurant staffDevelop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operationsMonitor and maintain guest satisfaction through regular check-ins and prompt resolution of any issuesManage budgets and financial performance of the hotel and restaurant, including cost control and revenue maximizationCollaborate with marketing team to develop promotional strategies and enhance brand awarenessMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety throughout the propertyContinuously analyze and improve operations to increase profitability and guest satisfactionHandle any guest complaints or incidents with professionalism and in accordance with company policiesCreate and foster a positive culture that focuses on team-buildingStay current on industry trends and implement new ideas and processes to enhance the overall guest experienceRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field strongly preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in hotel or restaurant managementExcellent leadership and communication skillsProven track record of managing budgets, driving revenue, and achieving guest satisfactionStrong knowledge of hospitality and restaurant industry trends and best practicesAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysProficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management softwareMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of timeEEOC Statement:Park Place Hotel is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse workplace.
