Nouvelle Brewing by Travail, voted 4th best pizza place by Food and Wine Magazine is looking for a detailed, organized, and hospitality-minded General Manager to join our team in Robbinsdale.
Qualified candidates should have a hands-on leadership approach, experience working different stations in a kitchen and a drive to provide amazing hospitality to all our guests. Position Description: In this role, you will lead in managing the overall direction, coordination, and operations of the restaurant, develop your team, adhere to budgets, foster a dynamic culture, manage financial health, and lead by example in delivering amazing guest service, while working alongside the Director of Operations and the Executive Chef for the Travail Collective.
What You'll Be Doing Ensuring smooth operations during service for both front-of-house and kitchen teams Training and developing team to help increase knowledge and engagement, and promote unity Working side-by-side in a casual restaurant/ brewery setting, while executing positions with the team in a collaborative environment Partner with various Travail Collective department to ensure the needs of the business are being met Conducting daily pre-shift meetings with employees to set service up for success Ensure that the facilities are properly sanitized and meet health code standards Ensuring back of house teams are prepared for service Keep team on task and maintain a sense of urgency during service and clean up Follow all cash handling procedures Assist with recruiting and onboarding team members Schedule all employee shifts, stay on top of labor/prime cost numbers, manage requests, tracking employee time procedures and requirements, and payroll activities Keep up-to-date and translate to staff restaurant POS and technology proficiencies Support menu change procedures Respond to guest inquiries and reviews in a timely manner Develop and consistently take part in leading continuing education opportunities Represent and maintain culture standards of Travail Collective inside and outside of the restaurant(s) Address concerns and conflict in the workplace with emotional intelligence Skills/ Experience Previous restaurant or kitchen management experience Previous line cook or chef experience History of successful, effective, and engaging leadership Strong sense of organization and detail 2+ Years in similar management/leadership roles Understanding of budgets, purchasing, inventories, and cost control Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed Outgoing, friendly demeanor Take initiative to get work done in a fast-paced environment Time management skills while working effectively with a sense of urgency Attention to detail Ability to work well in a team Availability to work a flexible schedule, based on business needs What We Provide Competitive salary (up to $70,000/ year) Paid time off Medical and Dental Insurance Employee discount at any Travail Collective locations Opportunity for development and advancement Fun and supportive work environment Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time About Us Eat as much as you want, drink as much as you like, stay as long as you can, talk as much as you wish, make new friends, savor these moments together.

Andy Goettsch, who was previously Chef de Cuisine at our sister restaurant Travail Kitchenand a homebrewer extraordinaire, became our Head Brewer and has since tapped hundreds of unique batches.
In January of 2022, we rebranded as Nouvelle Brewing by Travail so we could more heavily feature the brewing talents of Andy, as well as our creative chef team. We are Craft Malt Certified and a Certified Independent Craft Brewery. We source local hops, malt, and ingredients as much as possible.
We now have 23 rotating taps for you to imbibe when you dine in including something for everyone including light/crispy, hoppy, malty/roasty, and fruity/sour brews.
