The Role
Gala is excited to announce we are adding Full Stack Engineers with expertise in the MEVN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Vue.js, Node.js) to join our dynamic and passionate team. As a Full Stack Engineer on the Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based gaming platform. The ideal candidate has a high-level of proficiency in software development practices, producing high quality, robust, and maintainable products. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability, performance, and overall user experience of our games.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, game developers, and blockchain engineers, to define and implement platform features and functionalities.
Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
Implement efficient and reliable data storage and retrieval mechanisms using MongoDB, and optimize database performance.
Build robust and scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.
Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using Vue.js, integrating seamlessly with the backend services.
Collaborate with frontend designers to ensure smooth integration of frontend components.
Implement unit tests, perform code reviews, and participate in the development of continuous integration and deployment processes.
Monitor, debug, and optimize platform performance, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks and issues.
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the web development and gaming industry, and apply them to enhance our platform
Essential Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of solid experience in developing web applications, preferable using the MEVN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Vue.js, Node.js) or similar.
Proficiency in Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
Strong understanding of backend development principles, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
Experience with database design and optimization, specifically with MongoDB.
Familiarity with frontend development, including responsive design and component-based frameworks such as Vue.js.
Knowledge of server-side technologies, such as Node.js and Express.js.
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, as well as continuous integration and deployment practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have Skills and Qualifications
Experience in the gaming industry, particularly with web-based or blockchain games.
Familiarity with Ethereum or other blockchain technologies.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Understanding of security principles and best practices in web development.
Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects.
