Job Description:
Metro Booming Training Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced Forklift Training Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operation and safety procedures and a passion for teaching and mentoring others.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct forklift training classes for individuals seeking certification in the safe operation of forklifts
- Teach students proper techniques for operating a forklift, including loading and unloading materials, navigating obstacles, and maintaining safety protocols
- Administer written and practical exams to evaluate students' understanding and competency in operating a forklift
- Provide feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and pass the certification exam
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and certification status
- Stay current on industry regulations and best practices for forklift operation and safety
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with a minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift
- Previous experience teaching or training individuals in forklift operations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner
- Knowledge of forklift safety regulations and best practices
- Must comply with all state regulations for forklift training teachers in Mississippi
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards related to forklift operation
