Floral Designer

Floral Designer Job Description This role is ideal for a floral designer who can bring their own skills and creativity, while aligning those unique ideas of Lee's Flower Shop Inc. brand and the FTD Brand.
Duties (include but are not limited to): Able to create various types of floral arrangements for corporate, retail clients, wedding and funeral Follow the direction of written instructions and store manager in regard to stem selection, size and overall look and size of each arrangement for all customer request and costs. Ensure when creating arrangements that flower pricing and customer needs are met. The ability to design corporate/church weeklies, weddings and large-scale events that align both with Lee's brand and customer's vision Maintain clean and organized work space. Some weekends and evening shifts may be required, special events and holidays a must if scheduled Construct personal flowers such as hand-held bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, etc. Assist with wedding decor setup Gather, count, and divide product according to floral recipes Adhere to safety procedures and recommend programs to improve production and safety Stay current in design trends, floral techniques and vendor products Perform other job-related duties as assigned Maintain and keep materials, such as vases, ribbons, sprays, greenery, etc. organized for easy access Desired Skills and Expertise: 3 years of experience in Floral Design or related field Prior event experience is helpful Knowledge of fresh floral product and design technique, floral processing, product, design and mechanics Ability to work efficiently in high volume production environment and at a fast pace  Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts and clients Professional appearance and demeanor, and willing to adhere to company dress code Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Position Requirements: Floral Design: 3 years Floral design portfolio Resume Professional References  To apply, all qualified candidates are asked to email a resume and design portfolio.
