Geodesicx, Inc. is in search of a Financial Systems Analyst III to join our team in the Norfolk, VA area.
The Financial Systems Analyst III is responsible for providing financial management support, including advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets, measuring organizational performance, assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget, and conducting financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
Specific Duties:
Provide notable experience in providing financial management support to a program/project and/or corporate operations department.
Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets; measuring organizational performance; assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
Employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending.
Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
Conduct training sessions for company or Government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders. Manage finances across multiple funding types.
Track budgets, costs, and variances. Produce executive summaries.
Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
Provide, interpret, and apply financial management principles; and apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations, and organizational strategic goals.
Provide replacement and repair cost data for each National Stock Number (NSN) annually by each year in accordance with the approved NAVSUP WSS pricing template format.
Experience Requirements:
Seven (7) years of experience providing financial management support to a program/project and/or corporate operations department.
Notable experience related to working as part of a team in the delivery of product or service.
Experience working with the Navy Working Capital Fund business model.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
