Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst Location Hybrid remote in Milpitas, CA : Position: Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst Location: Administration, Milpitas, CA ( Hybrid in-person/remote) Employment Type: Regular Full Time, Exempt
Compensation: 85,000 to 95,000
Program Summary: Immediately hiring a Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the analyst will be responsible for managing the annual financial planning process, interim budgeting activities, and monthly reporting.
Responsibilities: Financial Reporting
Generate accurate and timely monthly financial statements. Analyze financial data to identify key trends and variances. Budget Management
Generate department level budget vs actual reports. Collaborate with program managers to monitor financial performance, investigate variances, and provide insights to short term decision making. Planning
Work with key stakeholders across the organization to develop annual financial plans. Manage and update the models used in this process. Grant and Fund Management
Work closely with the development team to provide financial analysis and modeling for grant proposals. Track and report on the financial status of grants, ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for grantors and donors. Compliance
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Process Improvement
Identify and implement ongoing process improvements. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Two years' experience as a financial analyst, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Comfortable with financial transaction processing systems - knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge and Concur a plus.
Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles.
