The Analyst is responsible for the accurate analysis and classification of assigned websites, products, and / or merchants. They use open source intelligence, proprietary tools, and industry best practices to identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance. By identifying potentially risky, illegal, or otherwise violative activities, the Analyst contributes directly to LegitScript's mission of making the internet and payment ecosystems safer and more transparent. They work in a fast paced environment and are comfortable balancing competing priorities and delivering their work within deadlines.
What You'll Do:
Recognize and classify websites within multiple high-risk sectors, especially internet pharmacy, psychoactive high, gambling, and financial trading platforms
Understand and perform with regular program tasks like research and analysis, documentation, and assistance with ad-hoc client requests
Understand and utilize the various tools and resources necessary to perform regular program tasks
Craft written responses or notes for deliverables that only require marginal edits by supervisor
Escalate questions to Sr. Analysts and Manager using sound judgment
Submit reports, adhering to your program's reporting standards, within strict deadlines
Assist on other projects and tasks when assigned to do so by Manager
Assist in shaping program improvements by escalating ideas to Manager regarding the following:
Areas where our knowledge and resources are limited
New tools and resources that could improve analysis and/or processes
Potential new and trending areas of risk to client(s)
Assist in the maintenance of program documentation as directed by Sr. Analysts and Manager
What You'll Bring:
Strong writing skills
Comfortable accepting feedback for overall growth
Experience with large data sets (Excel and Google Sheets)
Fantastic attention to detail
Self-motivated, independent, resourceful, and curious
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to use good judgment and make sound independent decisions
Ability to work in a dynamic market with a continuous improvement mindset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Well-developed ability to speak, read, comprehend, English
Tech-savvy
4-year college or university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Comfortable with potential exposure to offensive material
Proficiency using MacOS
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Etc.) and Microsoft Excel

The pay range for this role is: 23.22 - 23.22 USD per hour (Remote)
