What You Will Be Doing The purpose of the Controller is to provide finance and accounting managment:
- Report to CFO and principal partners
- Ensure organization meets necessary tax, permit, licensing requirements and maintains good standing
- Oversee financial control activities, review and analysis of monthly/quarterly numbers, disclosures for all companies
- Tax preparation with external CPA/TAC accounting firm
- Collaborate with partners and executives in establishing effective processes/controls, ensure integrity of company ledger at all times
- Provide team with accurate/comprehensive financial reporting. Provide external auditors/bankers with necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure diligence in maintaining separate books for all companies What You Need for this Position A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in financial and accounting leadership, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar and:
- Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Superior attention to detail with strong analytical, organization, and planning skills
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
