Join our dynamic Finance team at Workplace Savings & Retirement Solutions (WSRS)! We're on the lookout for two driven Financial Analysts to contribute to our collaborative environment. At WSRS, we focus on forecasting, reporting, planning, pricing models, profitability analysis, and more. Your Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst at WSRS, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Conduct financial analysis for WSRS initiatives, including plan pricing and profitability, strategic projects, and experience/assumption studies.
- Utilize large datasets to prepare and present various financial reports to teams and senior leadership.
- Analyze financial information to develop compelling cases for initiatives affecting retirement and workplace personal investing businesses.
- Present financial analyses to leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Pursue self-development by expanding knowledge of the department, line of business, and industry.
- Undertake additional job-related duties and special projects as needed.
Who You Are:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, actuarial science, math, accounting, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant financial analysis or financial modeling/forecasting experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel (including formulas, functions, pivot tables, and modeling best practices).
- Experience or a strong desire to learn SAS, PowerBI, SQL, or similar tools.
- Self-motivation with excellent problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
- The ability to embrace and guide others through the change process effectively.
Skills That Make You Stand Out:
While not required, the following skills would be advantageous:
- Experience in retirement and/or record-keeping.
- Ability to build financial forecast models.
- Demonstrated creative thinking and ownership of initiatives.
- Informal leadership and mentorship experience (preferred).
Additional Information:
- Salary Range: $77,350 - $182,400 per year
- Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) provided for salaried (exempt) employees.
- Pension Eligible: Yes
Work Environments:
- This role offers in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements.
- Work location flexibility available for candidates residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC.
Job Level: We're open to considering talent at the next level (Financial Analyst V) based on experience and skills.
