CSS serves as the designated Health Information Exchange (HIE) for Maryland and Washington, D.C., with affiliates in West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, and Virginia. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.

The primary function of the Coordinator is to support the financial and grant operations of CRISP Shared Services (CSS), which may include one or more affiliate regions or other departments. Responsibilities includes assisting with the grant management process, review of invoices and compiling operational metrics. The Coordinator collaborates with Project Managers to prepare and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), grant agreements, outcomes reporting, grant budgets and related invoices on behalf of CSS. The Coordinator is responsible for keeping up with all grant agreement requirements inclusive of reporting milestones.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Finance
Work proactively with accounting team to address identified issues, anticipate problems, and to assist in optimizing the financial position.
Review monthly invoices prepared by accounting team.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested by executive leadership.
Assist in the compilation of the annual budget and the tracking of spend.
Prepare updates and add work performed to monthly invoices or other tracking mechanisms.
Ensure that completed milestones are relayed expeditiously to the finance team in order to streamline invoice and payment processes.

Grant Management and Other
Ensure all required documentation submitted to agencies complies with grant agreements and contract.
Work closely with Project Managers to track progress on proposed grant and program deliverables.
Monitor purchases and align with procurement policy.
Support creation and execution of statements of work and other agreements, inclusive of budgets, invoices and reporting requirements.
Coordinate and complete updates to project trackers, invoices, and ACE codes.
Regularly interface with both internal CSS stakeholders as well as external stakeholders/

Possession and demonstration of high energy, flexibility, creativity and good judgment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications, CRMs (particularly Salesforce), database and spreadsheet software. Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. create pivot tables and lookup formulas).
Familiarity with healthcare industry preferred.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple job duties, including personal time management and organization skills.
Able to employ critical thinking skills and work independently while also working well within a team environment.
Demonstrate a sense of ownership or responsibility for project tracker.
Provide outstanding, customer service focused assistance to all internal and external customers.
Strong quantitative and analytical ability.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years finance, grants and/or project management experience preferred
