We are looking for a technician, ideally with electrical and mechanical experience to service and maintain the hardware, software, and communications technologies in our energy storage systems across multiple concurrent projects. In this role, reporting to the Director of Customer Operations, you will work closely with Support Engineers, Product Development, Solutions teams, and Customers.Support the safe installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Invinity's products in the fieldDiagnose, repair, and replace key electrochemical, electrical, and control system componentsCapture and report system issues into a database and correct, or support others remotely, to correct, those issues in the fieldProvide operations and maintenance feedback to the wider team to drive continuous product and service improvementFacilitate customer operation, maintenance, and safety trainingMaintain field service equipment and tooling, and spare inventoriesMonitor and assess system performance in Invinity's remote monitoring platform and take action to address observationsMaintain good relationships with customers, and technical and managerial staff at all customer sitesMust be able and willing to travel and work at Invinity offices and customer sites (US and international). While uncommon, travel for up to four weeks may be required a few times per yearOther tasks as required and as is reasonable, across customer sites and Invinity premisesQualificationsExperienced in servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipmentAbility to work safely and follow documented procedures; strong competence using hand toolsAbility to work independently and proactively, with minimal supervisionExperience in working with electrical equipment and related safetyHigh school diploma (or GED) or higher, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience requiredTwo years of experience in electrical/electronics/power electronics and or network communications is required, ideally in a field service environmentAble to read, understand and amend (redline) electrical schematicsAbility to produce thorough and accurate service reports and other supporting documentation and proceduresProficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacyGood communication skills; detail-oriented, and an innovative problem solverAbility to lift 50 poundsRight to work in the US, valid and current passport, and a clean driving licenseDesirable Qualifications:Experience in renewable energy generation, inverter/rectifier systems, or energy storageExperience in the commissioning of electrical and mechanical equipmentExperience in computer configuration and networking, CAN bus, TCP/IP, etc.Awareness of electrical, crane, and forklift work safetyHealth and safety trainingAdditional InformationImportant Notice: Criminal Background Check RequiredIn this role, security checks are often required for entry into customer sites.
