As a Field Service Technician, your primary responsibility will involve hands-on field service tasks at client locations, predominantly in data center or industrial settings. This will encompass the installation of components and subassemblies, as well as basic commissioning of our client's equipment. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities Participating in project meetings as necessary, coordinating with contractors and clients. Installing and modifying electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies, such as panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bars, switchgear section doors, subpanels, addition of control components, power cabling, and control wiring. Conducting basic testing of modified assemblies (visual, ductor, etc.). Executing basic commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products. Diagnosing electrical circuit and networking equipment issues. Collaborating with the Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to resolve product or commissioning challenges identified by IEM or reported by customers in the field, and identifying additional field resources required for installation and replacement parts. Performing preventive maintenance, field installations, and modifications to existing equipment. Providing technical product support. Desired Education And Experience Possession of a technical degree or equivalent, coupled with 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or field service position involving electrical equipment. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel occasionally, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Experience with switchgear and electrical control systems is advantageous. Military experience is a plus. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams is beneficial. Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment. Ability to lift 50lbs or more. Why work with us at Power Careers as opposed to other firms?
