Job Summary If you're interested in a Field Research Assistant job, then this is the best role for you. Production Research Field Assistants are responsible for assisting in all facets of field research.? Team members will aid with an array of outdoor field duties and some indoor lab duties.
Job Description Field labor activities occur outdoors for long periods of time with exposure to the elements. Assisting with planting, staking research plots, pollinating, data collection using electronic devices, research plot maintenance, hand harvest, process improvement projects, preventive maintenance of equipment, aiding with spraying, and other special projects. Skills Required Ability to understand and follow verbal and written tasks and safety instructions delivered in English. Ability to lift to 40lbs. Ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately. Experience with or ability to learn Microsoft Office and iOS devices for data collection. Past pesticide application experience is desirable, but not required. Must be self-motivated individuals with the ability to interact in a team and work independently. Requires physical activities such as bending, lifting, and long periods of standing. Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Compliance with company and USDA-APHIS trainings and policies is required. Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen. Must be 18 year of age minimum. May need to drive company vehicles during work hours and Travel Requirements: Will be traveling to our off-site location to do work. These are all day trips. Weekend work and extended hours will be required during the peak seasons. Valid driver's license Shift: 07:00 AM Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary: $15.00 to $23.00 per hour based on qualifications.
