FBO Accountant Objective The FBO Accountant is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of transactions at the local units, including accounts payable, revenue and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities and Duties Maintain fuel meter logs and reconcile fuels Audit fuel tickets and invoices for completeness and accuracy; reconcile and close credit card batches Prepare monthly fuel summary report depicting inventory reconciliations and compare to counted inventory, resolve all variances Auditing revenue transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy Processing of monthly recurring billings to customers Application of customer payments to accounts receivable Entering accounts payable invoices to the correct expense accounts Prepare monthly reporting packages that go to airport authorities Support General Manager with timely monthly financial reporting and budget/forecasting Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Competencies Strong computer skills including Microsoft office products Proven track record for business controls and assurance compliance and training Absolute confidentiality and high integrity. Must be reliable and dependable. Ability to exercise independent direction and judgement, and work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Ability to successfully complete tasks that require high attention to detail, with minimal supervision. Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer Work Environment This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is an exempt position.
Normal schedule is Monday through Friday with exceptions for heavy traffic periods as required
Travel No travel is expected for this position.
