The Department of History and Political Science at Utah Valley University invites applications for a one-year lectureship in World History beginning August 2024. Teaching load is 5/5. Ph.D. in History or a doctorate in a related field by date of employment is required. Candidates must have experience teaching in a university setting. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach an Introduction to African History class and World History surveys. The lecturer may have the opportunity to teach a historical methods class and an additional upper-level class.

UVU serves approximately 43,000 students and is located on the western front of the Wasatch Mountains in Orem, Utah, 40 miles south of Salt Lake City.
