Job summary
Hagerstown Community College is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach Business, including the ability to teach accounting or economics.The incumbent will perform other faculty responsibilities as described in the Faculty Load, Promotion, and Tenure document.Responsibilities include advising students, marketing the programs to relevant publics, and performing college and community service.

Responsibilities
• Teach 15 credits in the fall and spring terms.• Assess learning outcomes at the course, program, general education, and institutional levels.• Advise students on courses, programs, and career and transfer objectives.• Support students as needed.• Transfer knowledge to students through course content and curriculum updates.• Promote the discipline or program to students and the local community.• Participate in shared College governance.• Maintain an approved professional development plan.• Serve the College in departmental responsibilities, community outreach, and student and campus life activities.• Engage in voluntary community service activity that positively reflects the College's image.• Teach courses in Business, including Accounting or Economics.• Conduct outcomes assessment of students.• Advise and support students in these programs.• Implement a professional development plan.• Participate in marketing, recruitment, and retention of students in these programs.• Maintain contact and activities with teachers and students in the local school system.• Establish student clubs, field trips, or other activities related to the major in Business.• Contribute to the development of marketing materials and communicate with prospective students.• Provides service to the College and the Community.• Establish contacts in the community.• Serve on shared governance and ad hoc committees.• Represent the College in community organizations and events upon request.
Requirements
• MBA or Master's degree in a business area.• Minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
