LHH is actively seeking a skilled Facilities Project Manager II to join our team onsite 5 days a week in San Jose, CA. If you are a seasoned professional with a passion for overseeing construction and improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, we want to hear from you. Join us and take the next step in your career! This is a 12 month assignment, that will likely go longer, or could even convert.

Responsibilities:
Lead small to medium facilities construction and improvement projects, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.

Provide strong leadership to project teams, guiding them through project execution.

Conduct regular project status review meetings to monitor progress and ensure compliance with timelines and budgets.

Oversee construction administration, including management of contractors and subcontractors.

Collaborate closely with the Facilities Engineering Team, providing engineering and technical expertise.

Track and report on budget performance for assigned projects.

Ensure compliance with local building codes and disability access requirements.

Develop project task plans and Critical Systems Task Plans (CSTP) in collaboration with project contractors, ensuring adherence to department guidelines.

Ensure contractors follow Contractor Guidelines.

Maintain a safe work environment and prevent business interruption or tenant impact during project activities.

Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure regulatory compliance on all programs, projects, and processes.

Ensure construction sites are clean and secured at the end of each workday.

Work with Procurement on Request for Proposal (RFP) development and contractor selection.

Skills:
Regularly observe project construction in the field, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Prepare and track budget performance for assigned projects.

Prepare and track schedules for assigned projects.

Provide regular project status updates to project team members, department manager, and stakeholders.

Lead cross-functional teams to develop project scope, budget, and timelines.

Support project closure per Facilities Engineering requirements, ensuring proper documentation and transfer of information to the facilities maintenance group.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or related discipline, with a facilities or project management accreditation preferred.

Minimum 5 years minimum of direct related experience.

Proficient in understanding mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings; knowledge of AutoCAD software a plus.

Understanding of building technology requirements and specifications.

Familiarity with facilities project planning, construction, and space planning; IFMA and PMI certifications a plus.

Proficiency with MS Project software preferred for project schedule tracking.

Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.

Strong leadership and team-building skills.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (BS minimum).

Certifications & Licenses:
IFMA and PMI certifications a plus.

Proficiency with MS Project software preferred for project schedule tracking.

Employment type: contract (12 months)
Hours: 40 per week

Pay Details:

$55.00 to $70.00 per hour
