Chewy is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer to manage and configure SailPoint IdentityNow, Chewy's Identity Governance (IGA) solution. As an expert in Identity Governance solutions, the primary responsibility will be to engineer solutions to meet and support large enterprise identity lifecycle and access requirements based on business needs.
The ideal candidate will design, develop, configure, and implement solutions to complex technical and business issues related to identity management, access authentication (authN), authorization (authZ), lifecycle provisioning, and role-based access control. They will also provide end-user support as directed by management, work on multiple highly complex functions, and interface professionally with business stakeholders to identify and recommend functional, technological, and control solutions. They should be able to drive multiple projects simultaneously as part of the Identity and Access Management team and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more IAM, Systems, IDM, or risk management areas.
Responsibilities: Own Identity Governance and Lifecycle processes and solutions to meet business requirements Expand the reach and value of IdentityNow by integrating it with critical applications and infrastructure. Constantly seek new opportunities and ideas Author and maintain various jobs used for lifecycle automation using scripting and configuration languages such as PowerShell, Python, JSON, XML, or similar Develop and administer custom automation between disparate 3rd-party apps using Workflow and Orchestration platforms such as Jenkins, Okta Workflows, Torii, and MS Flow (scheduled, event-driven, and on-demand) Assist in the design, administration, monitoring, and care-and-feeding of Directory Services (Active Directory, Okta) Follow lifecycle methodologies, create documentation for design and testing Interact/coordinate with business stakeholders to identify business requirements, design solutions, and guide business process Assist the IAM Operations team and act as an escalation point and mentor Resolve technical issues through investigation, debugging, research, and testing Author and review diagrams, maps, and documentation of interrelated architecture and systems; proactively analyze end-to-end solutions to determine possible failure points, coaching engineers accordingly Guide, train, and mentor peers on the development of custom scripts and application interfaces to enhance existing monitoring infrastructure as part of project team efforts Develop root-cause analysis and correction of error strategies to determine improvement opportunities when failures occur. Contribute as lead and SME on incident research and resolution when appropriate, mentoring incident team members Assist in Continual Service Improvement efforts by identifying and sometimes leading, opportunities for process improvement Manage workload, prioritizing tasks and documenting time, and other duties as needed Assist management in the definition of cross-platform identity management policies and procedures, and act as a senior contributor to departmental standard operating procedures, processes, and guidelines Drive and participate in the collection and documentation of departmental knowledge artifacts; key participant in the development, population, and championing of knowledge management and collaboration systems for the team Participate in on-call after-hours support rotation Communicate complex technical information to peers and all levels of management Qualifications: Bachelor's/equivalent in Engineering Thorough domain hands-on experience and knowledge of the below areas of IAG User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, and Reconciliation Auditing, Reporting, and user activity monitoring Access Certification Segregation Of Duties Cloud Security 6+ years of industry experience in the development, customization, configuration, and deployment of Identity Management and Governance products (Saviynt or SailPoint) 3+ years being responsible for designing, administering, and upgrading Active Directory 3+ years of demonstrated success building application interfaces with languages such as Java/J2EE, XML, SQL, Rockwell, PostgreSQL, JDBC, ODBC, etc. Expert experience and knowledge of Web Services and APIs for data integration and lifecycle provisioning, including REST, SOAP, and SCIM Knowledge of popular Enterprise Systems such as Workday, M365, Oracle EBS, Coupa, ServiceNow, etc. Knowledge of security/authorization models and grants of popular enterprise and SaaS applications (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) High level of comfort using PowerShell and developing scripts/modules/jobs Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, high-pressure environment Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude Experience with Okta a strong plus Chewy is committed to equal opportunity.
