Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions is required. Completion of the formal Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) course is required. Current license issued by the State of New Mexico Emergency Medical Service Bureau, as an Emergency Medical Technician is required. Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required upon hire Current, valid New Mexico driver s license is required. Age requirement is 18 Ability to type 20 wpm preferred. Basic MS Windows computer skills preferred. Medical Examiners certification The EMT-B performs all functions of patient evaluation and assessment within the New Mexico approved scope of practice. Also performs patient care procedures and interventions as dictated by the New Mexico scope of practice. The EMT-B is responsible for the delivery of quality care to patients under varied conditions.
