Geologics is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in Minneapolis, MN . This a 6-month contract position.
You will work in an Electrical Engineering Lab, supporting complex electronic products and support equipment; design, development, fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, troubleshooting, rework and repair. Position: Electronics Technician
Type: W-2, Contract (6+ months)
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
Location: Onsite in Minneapolis, MN
Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Job Responsibilities: Support complex electronic products and support equipment Design, development, fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, troubleshooting, rework and repair using engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions. Assemble, rework and repair of circuit boards containing surface mount and through-hole components. Fabricate electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing. Operate equipment necessary to fulfill these duties. Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. Required Skills/Qualifications: Associate's degree (2-year technical degree)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electronics/Electrical Technician. Requirements include experience with: Assembly of electronic and mechanical equipment and components. Rework and repair of circuit boards containing surface mount and through-hole components Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Development of new electronic systems cabling and test equipment Development of schematics, design specifications, and parts lists Design and specification review for test equipment Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection, set-up, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety equipment Troubleshooting electronic and/or electrical systems. Determine engineering/test data to be collected, extract information, and perform calculations to analyze test data. Create test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data and write reports. Knowledge of manufacturing & quality requirements IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610
