Electrical Controls Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Electrical Controls Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary design team, and is responsible for the design, development, and support of all aspects of electrical control systems for custom industrial automation machinery, throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Qualified candidates will be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of electro-mechanical equipment design and manufacture. Detailed responsibilities include:
Electrical schematic design and control panel layout
Machine programming and HMI design
Robot Programming on ABB and Fanuc platforms
Support of the manufacturing and assembly teams
System start-up, testing, and debugging
On-site installation and integration support
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or similar engineering or related technical field
Minimum 7 years PLC, HMI, and servo control and integration experience
Experience with schematic design software
Excellent technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Travel required as needed to fulfill responsibilities
The preferred candidate will possess one or more of the following qualifications:
Significant experience programming Allen-Bradly Logix5000 PLCs, PanelView HMIs, and Kinetix servo systems
Significant experience using the TIA Portal development environment to program Siemens S7-300/400/1200/1500 PLCs, SIMATIC HMIs, and SINAMICS S120 servo drives
Significant skill with multiple programming languages, in addition to PLC ladder logic. LabView experience is a plus
Significant experience with industrial vision inspection system and/or vision guided robotics
Significant experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems and related controls
Significant experience with AutoCAD Electrical schematic design software
