The College of Dentistry is in search for a Curricular & Education Resource Manager to join our division of Academic Affairs ! You will play a vital role in ensuring excellence in curriculum development and implementation. Collaborate with Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, faculty, staff, and students to provide a curriculum that reflects the competencies, assessment measures and outcomes necessary for a beginning dentist. Enhance and support the operations of the Office for Academic Affairs by providing guidance and direct assistance regarding Iowa Courses Online (ICON) to collegiate faculty and staff and assist in all aspects of American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) processes and documentation. Responsibilities: Coordinate and monitor curricular activities in consultation with the Assistant Dean. Support teaching and learning development initiatives. Implement collegiate policies to support faculty and student learning. Provide educational expertise to collegiate committees. Facilitate curriculum management reviews and oversee program evaluation activities. Manage curriculum mapping and ensure compliance with policies. Assist in developing academic program materials and reports. Assist in predoctoral dental curriculum delivery for prospective and enrolled students. Manage course management site standardization for learning practices. Coordinate course evaluation procedures and provide recommendations for improvement. Explore new electronic resources and assist with course evaluation. Serve as Primary Collegiate ICON System Administrator. Coordinate and verify course information in ICON to enhance accuracy. Assist with CODA accreditation requirements and documentation. Compile responses to national surveys and data requests. Compile and report teaching effectiveness data and trends. Coordinate manuscript writing and production for accreditation reports. Participate in D.D.S. interviews. Salary: $72,695 to commensurate (Pay Grade: 5A) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Higher Education or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum 1-year relevant administrative academic and educational program development and evaluation experience. Proven track record of developing higher education curriculum and understanding of instructional design. Knowledge of the operation and application of academic standards and curricular policies. Knowledge of academic assessment methods and activities. Ability to assess research and instructional programs and review students' learning outcomes to ensure achievement of academic objectives and strategies. Knowledge of the operation and application of computer-based academic support systems. Desirable Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Education, education-related or equivalent is desirable. Experience in curriculum development in a health profession education environment. Experience in design and development of learning objectives and assessment instruments in a university setting.
