Domestic Parts Specialist

Job Summary:Van Chevrolet/Cadillac/Subaru is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Domestic Parts Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Domestic Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by effectively identifying and sourcing the necessary parts for GM vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry and will be an individual contributor role.We are not looking for a 'job hopper'. Our turnover in this dealership is far below industry standard and we want to keep it that way. We are a BUSY shop. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement savings plan and paid time off.Responsibilities:Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional mannerIdentify and source GM parts needed for repairs or upgradesEnter and process parts orders accurately and efficientlyMaintain an organized and clean parts departmentMonitor and manage inventory levelsHandle customer inquiries and concerns with courtesy and effectivenessStay up-to-date on the latest GM parts and proceduresCollaborate with service and sales departments to ensure timely and efficient repairsAdhere to all safety procedures and protocolsRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalentAt least 1+ years of experience in a parts departmentExtensive knowledge of GM parts and their applicationsExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesBasic computer skills and proficiency in inventory management systemsPhysical ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs.)Valid driver's license and clean driving record
