Come grow with us. We are Canteen. Job Summary: Based in Charlotte, we are seeking a Division President to lead our fresh food production operations. The President will lead all aspects of the Fresh Food Production Division of the company, ensuring effective and efficient use of all facilities and staff. Reporting to the CEO, you will improve efficiency and productivity through process improvements in manufacturing. This position will develop and implement the manufacturing strategy, be instrumental in optimizing investment and lead cost reduction strategies. All activities will be in support of manufacturing methodologies to serve multiple markets from large volume to custom private label products. This is a highly visible, high impact position where a successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the future success and growth of the organization!
Current Scope: 11 Plant Fresh Operations across the USA with annual production of over 150M units and 350 SKUs. Current direct reporting team of 3 Senior Vice Presidents.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, training and leading of Plant Managers Participate in revenue growth, sales presentations, and key account management Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive Handles work performance and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policies Develop and implement the manufacturing strategy for plants across the United States Leads all aspects of the manufacture of products, ensuring production, quality, safety, financial and delivery standards are consistently met Deliver targeted productivity improvements, while leading project pipeline identifying business opportunities that will help drive operational excellence, dramatic growth, and productivity Enhances logistics and order fulfillment using best in class procedures and technology Develop and document a "best-in-class" structured process for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations processes Drive operational and profitability metrics and analytics to achieve revenue growth and bottom-line results Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques Lead, along with Quality, the reduction of Waste in processes (scrap, rework, attrition) Develop annual manufacturing plan in consultation with other senior-level unit leaders to ensure proper usage of resources to achieve required levels of production and customer delivery requirements Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff Develop long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations Works with chief financial officer/division controller to develop financial goals and operating budgets Work with Purchasing to ensure best pricing Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested Handles equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout Regular in plant visits will be required to be effective in this role Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and managerial skills Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the fresh food manufacturing space Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish organizational goals Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred 10+ years demonstrated ability leading multi-site manufacturing operations with a systematic approach to safety, labor management, quality control, productivity, and cost containment Confirmed knowledge of Lean manufacturing preferred Apply to Canteen today!
