Here's how a District Human Resource Coordinator for our Civil Infrastructure office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities Leads the process for the district's student program; plans and organizes college recruiting activities, including orientations, events, networking with colleges and universities, managing databases, and coordinating interviews. Maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions. Responsible for entry-to mid-level recruiting and onboarding practices. Administers HRPD programs and policies. Provides guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HRPD programs, policy, practices, compliance, and all aspects of career management. Participates in district HRPD strategic planning process. Assists with development and execution of district-level projects/initiatives as assigned. Maintains budget for assigned programs/initiatives. Assists district HRPD manager with staff planning. Assists with research and general administrative support pertaining to total rewards. Assists with administration and supports the succession planning process. Provides administrative support for terminations. Maintains and prepares scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed. Provides data analysis and recommendations. Delivers information sessions on routine HR/company information. Assists with facilitation sessions. Provides implementation support to district HRPD manager on corporate and regional initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred. Working towards an HR designation preferred. 3 years of progressive human resources or related experience preferred. Demonstrated understanding of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation. Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information. Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations. Basic business acumen and understanding of industry practices and new developments. Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines. Good networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks. Results-oriented and able to meet and drive deadlines.
