POSITION SUMMARY
United We Dream is currently seeking a creative, self-starting, and team-driven Distributed Organizing Coordinator to join our Distributed Organizing team to spread The Squad's spirit across digital networks, recruit folks online into UWDA's issue and electoral activities, and lead volunteers on becoming strong Change Makers in their communities by utilizing distributed tools. 
This position is perfect for coordinators with experience utilizing online tools and distributed tactics to support our national outreach to foster a community of online volunteers driven by the organization's mission and vision. It is a major plus if you are multilingual, and have experience managing large peer-to-peer (P2P) text banks, community trainings, and mobilizations. 
  DISTRIBUTED ORGANIZING COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  Distributed Organizing Recruitment & Retention 
Own the creation and execution of recruitment, retention, and training tactics to meet quarterly and yearly Distributed goals to ensure the program builds a committed nationwide network of volunteers in key strategic geographic areas. Cultivate relationships with leaders and volunteers through One-on-one conversations, follow-ups, and confirmations for UWDA virtual or in-person events, using these opportunities to identify, retain, and develop new potential leaders. Co-own the creation and implementation of a digital membership ladder that reflects the Distributed Organizing program membership.  Perform other duties as assigned, to support volunteer recruitment, retention, and leadership development. Collaborates and works closely with Distributed Organizing manager, Deputy Digital Director, and Digital Director, to troubleshoot and ideate digital tactics that connect to the work of Distributed Organizing and its success.  Owns the coordination, and the execution of all tactics by and for the Distributed Organizing Team including but not limited to:  Management of the program's calendar  Execution of all Campaign tactics related to the program  Team collaboration with other departments and within the Digital Team  Own the maintenance and program's community culture and growth in spaces for highly engaged members, such as slack groups or other platforms as needed for the program.  Own the creation, sharpening, and facilitation of all Distributed spaces and training materials (guides, training presentations, memos, templates, toolkits, text scripts, phone bank scripts and events, emails, texting scripts and events, slack outreach, registration pages, monthly orientation calls, and others) to make distributed teams' events successful.  Responsible for the setup and execution of phone dialer and texting campaigns to support campaign efforts or organizational outreach as needed.  Responsible for gathering insights from members frequently and providing next steps/solutions that, include, but are not limited to:  What are members eager to learn about? What campaigns are resonating? How are the program activities resonating with them? How can we grow the participation of our membership online? How can we make our online spaces more accessible and fun for them?  Responsible for gathering and reporting data collection on the progress of Distributed Organizing activities executed by volunteers including but not limited to attendance reports, progress on texting/phone banking campaigns, qualitative data from virtual and in-person events, monthly organizational metrics, etc.  Supports as a thought partner during the strategic planning process of the program.  Perform other duties as assigned, to advance program implementation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
2-3 campaign cycles of experience in either field, distributed, or digital positions on political campaigns. Experience training volunteers, OR have managed and grown active online communities. Knows and understands how to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Intersectional social justice analysis on race, class, and gender in addition to being passionate about immigrants' rights. Carries a team-driven culture that allows them to collaborate on different projects simultaneously with other team members. Familiarity with Slack, Zoom (or equivalent), and Google Drive.  Experience with any of these platforms: ThruTalk, ThruText, or Hustle  Exceptional writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills. Strong writer and communicator ready to learn how to translate the needs of our community into action.  Attention to detail, flexibility, and patience. Consistently overcomes challenges and leverages resources to solve these challenges creatively. Proactively asks for help, anticipates problems, and takes the initiative to bring forth ideas and solutions into consideration to continue to improve the work.  Open to receiving and providing ongoing constructive feedback to grow together as a team. BONUS POINTS FOR:
Experience administering and managing peer-to-peer texting campaigns on platforms such as Hustle, ThruText (formerly Relay), Spoke, or experience with digital organizing platforms like Mobilize, Controlshift, Action Network, Every Action. Experience conducting voter contact for issue-based or political campaigns - such as drafting text and phone bank scripts. Experience leading direct actions - such as marches, rallies, vigils, etc. SALARY AND BENEFITS
Compensation: United We Dream offers a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation, health insurance, retirement plans, and life insurance. 
Base pay ranges $52,000/yr - $62,000/yr
Employees who have completed less than 3 years of service with United We Dream: 10 Vacation days per year Employees who have completed at least 3 years of service with United We Dream: 15 Vacation days per year Paid Time Off Holiday between December 24th - January 1st. 12 Paid holidays 3% 403(B) employer discretionary contribution 12 weeks of paid family leave (after one year of service) Medical/Dental/Vision/ life coverage + dependents $120 Reimbursement included cell service/data and utilities monthly $500 Reimbursement for office supplies working from home annually Location: This is a full-time, remote position. We have a preference to hire in states where we already have employees working remotely - AZ, DC, CT, CA, FL, IL, MO, NJ, NM, NY, OK, SC, and TX. You may be required to travel for internal team meetings, retreats, and UWD events as well as external events as required for your role.
