We are looking to add a new addition to our team as a Full-Time Dispatch Manager in Jacksonville, FL! A Dispatch Manager is responsible for working with different departments within an organization to ensure a our customer's time sensitive products to their customers and they also coordinate a team of dispatchers and ensure customers receive excellent customer service. The manager works with information technology systems to ensure drivers take the right products to a specific address.
Responsibilities Manage scheduling, coordination and tracking of dispatchers shifts for the week Ensuring dispatchers are completing their daily task of efficient response time, best practical job order assignments, tracking couriers, following up, and consistent communication Ability to negotiate with Independent Contractors servicing our client's customers Work diligently with Leadership, Operations Management, Sales, and other third-party organizations to oversee delivery operations and ensure SLAs are achieved Assist in all aspects of logistics operations as needed including driver communication/training, order dispatching/monitoring and serving as last line of defense for physical pick-up/delivery of customer shipments Creating a culture of high-level communication between dispatchers and all customers regarding operational challenges, updates, investigations, and ETAs in a professional timely manner Constantly evaluate areas for operational integration and efficiency within key customer accounts Collaborate with sales team to identify important areas of growth. Ensure smooth customer implementations and long-term success Follow company's safety policies and procedures Cover routes as needed Other responsibilities as assigned by management Pay: $65K anually
Requirements: Skills Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications Strong work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Travel & Work Conditions: Primarily sedentary Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred 3+ years of experience in Healthcare Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain Solutions preferred 2+ years of previous management experience preferred Project management experience and/or customer relationship management experience preferred Possesses a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the previous 3 years Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future What we offer: Weekly pay Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance are available to employee on the first of the following month after hire 401(k) with match Short- & Long-Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Company paid and optional Life Insurance Optional Hospital, Critical Illness, and Accident Indemnity Insurance Paid Time Off & Sick Pay Advancement opportunities in a fast-growing organization Associated Couriers is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
