Strong partnership skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities,and the ability to deliver programs that improve American Express overall data posture will be a key to success in this role. ResponsibilitiesLeads teams and supports product engineering in a scaled agile environment deliveringvery largebusiness solutions orprograms.Serves as the main point of technologycontact from initiativeinceptiontodelivery.Serves as the main point of technologycontact from initiativeinceptiontodelivery.Workswith business leaders and senior-level architects to help shape the strategy for value streamdelivery.Leadsa methodologydriven quality plan in terms of delivery,features,andschedule.Proactivelyidentifiestechnology delivery and portfolio level risks and implements mitigations.Establishes andmaintainsgood relationships with product management, architecture, engineering, production operations, and external technology partners ensuring cohesive plans and regular communication of deliveryprogress.Ability to wear different hats andcontext-switchfrequentlyandseamlessly.Contributes to the investment decision process through innovative ideas, input to sequencing and highlighting other technology deliveryconsiderations.Willingnessto 'think' strategically, while also being willing to 'act' pragmatically and get into the weeds if vital, including being hands on and coding whereneeded.Effectiveness in building relationships across the organization as you find creative solutions to high visibilityquestions.Proficiencybuilding impactful relationships quickly, and ability to communicate at senior leadership levels.Ability toidentifyand balance trade-offs as you influence teams toward successful executionstrategies.Ability to influence without direct authority and thrive in ambiguoussituations.Strong bias for action and excellentproblem-solvingskills.Responsiblefor people leadership and management.A passion for data and about building a strong data culture at AmericanExpress QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other Technology domain, or equivalent workexperiencerequired; advanced degreepreferred.Provenability in leadinglarge,projects that involve both Business and Technology partners.SAFeCertified preferred with hands-on deliveryexperience applyingSAFeor iterative development processes, including quality and testingpractices.6+ years leading large scale/business critical Technologyand/ordata Governance and Policy projects or equivalent Technology.6+ years of Working in partnership with Product Management and Owners, as well as the core and extended Technology teams including Architect(s), to create and prioritize the programbacklog.Validated servant-leadership ability.Possess a high degree of technology savvy, with a keen ability to learnnew technologyparticularly Data governance, Data policy management quickly and easily.Eagerness and ability to soar at strategic levels as well asdivedeeply into details (rolling up your sleeves)todeliverconcreteoutcomes.PMP Certification a plus.Impeccable Communications skills to deliver simplified communication strategies across a wide variety of stakeholders. Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
