Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and expertise in the development and acquisition of external funds for research purposes• Support and oversee the pre-award process for sponsored projects• Collaborate with faculty and principal investigators to develop and submit proposals• Advise on policies and procedures for proposal preparation and submission• Set operational strategy for grant management in the college• Manage post-award financial accounting and budget reporting• Oversee staff supervision and performance management• Provide administrative oversight to ensure compliance and develop new internal controls• Collaborate with finance and administration team on budgeting and financial planning• Support strategic initiatives related to sponsored research
Requirements
• Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field with 8-10 years of experience• Experience with pre- and post-award management and reporting for research awards• Supervisory experience• Knowledge of people services, talent management, financial management, grant and contract management• Passion for working in a high-impact, mission-focused College• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities• Excellent communication skills• Knowledge of UW fiscal policies and procedures is desirable• Knowledge of Workday, SAGE, and Adaptive is desirable
