Role Overview: As the Global Controller and Finance Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing global financial reporting and consolidations within our multi-plant global organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the implementation of a cutting-edge consolidation system, oversee day-to-day accounting functions, and drive key financial planning and analysis (FPA) initiatives.
Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Consolidation Lead the implementation of a state-of-the-art consolidation system. Coordinate monthly financial reporting and consolidation processes. Prepare monthly statements for senior management review. Ensure consistency across global affiliates. Establish global best practices for data quality. Optimize global reporting activities. Provide insightful financial analysis to drive decision-making. Accounting Oversight Manage the monthly close process on a global scale. Oversee global Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll activities. Monitor fixed asset accounting for accuracy. Direct the revenue accounting team. Establish and enforce global accounting standards. Ensure timely completion of account reconciliations. Investigate technical US GAAP issues as required. Conduct audits of internal controls to ensure adequacy and compliance. Financial Planning & Analysis Coordinate the global review and consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts. Manage performance management processes for all locations and corporate departments. Enhance FP&A reporting and tools. Streamline all FP&A processes for efficiency. Lead special studies addressing critical areas identified by senior management. Ensure accounting systems highlight key issues effectively. Propose improvements to existing accounting systems. Manage system migrations as necessary. Requirements: 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within a finance/accounting department in a global manufacturing environment. 5+ years of experience as a global finance leader managing a team. MBA and/or CPA preferred. Ability to influence and lead a team while remaining hands-on in day-to-day operations.
