Position Summary:The Director of Clinical Operations is the bricoleur clinical leader of Trusted Care at the organization, creating and maintaining a positive culture of high performance and exemplary patient care. The Clinical Leader ensures quality, service excellence, and regulatory compliance. The Clinical Leader exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The Clinical Leader achieves this by:Developing and launching the clinical pathways necessary to rollout and grow a serious illness organization serving our areas in collaboration with the COO, that redefines serious illness careLeading the day-to-day clinical care of patients and familiesProviding excellent patient care experience driven by the patient care planEnsuring clinical operational excellenceBeing a good steward of resources by managing the Big 5 clinical expenses (labor, supplies, pharmacy, DME and mileage)Ensuring spectacular customer service for patients, families, and referral sourcesCoaching, mentoring, and leading the clinical teamEnsuring service, quality and compliance pillar success through strategic operational planning, implementation, and execution and ensuring goals are achieved.Ensuring excellent CAHPS scores through utilizing the 5 GemsCommunity and referral partner outreach and relationship building in partnership with growth team.Ensuring all clinical policies and procedures are implemented and followedCreating a program with commitment to excellent patient care and open access to services with urgencyEnsuring regulatory compliance (state, federal, local, Medicare, SCDHEC, DEA, and accreditation standards)Guiding and collaborating with IDGImplementing all process improvement effort identified by the QAPI teamBuilding a high-performance team by intentional recruiting and hiringEnsures all new clinicians receive stellar onboarding which promotes excellent careConduct monthly one to one, clinical team meetings, and supervisory visitsSeeking guidance, coaching, learning and collaboration as part of the Teleios Collaborative NetworkKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations r/t HospiceKnowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation for HospiceKnowledge of quality standards and reporting practices for hospice and palliative careKnowledge of Adult learning & training methodologiesModel the wayExemplify the TCN Leadership SystemInspire a shared visionChallenge the processEnable others to actEncourage the heartRead the group and discern what is neededLead courageouslyProficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook, power point) & Zoom / TEAMSExcellent & interesting presentation skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills and ability prioritize tasks, detail oriented and flexibleExcellent oral/written skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsConvey warmth, confidence, and competenceAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesAbility to facilitate large & small groups effectivelyAbility to plan, prioritize and coordinateAbility to effectively work virtually and move outcomes even when not physically on-siteAbility to direct and contribute to initiatives and processes within the organization.Ability to integrate core values, integrity, and accountability throughout all clinical practices.Ability to understand and apply information with which to contribute to the organization's strategic plan.Ability to manage interactions to provide service and to support the organization.Ability to provide guidance to organizational stakeholders.Ability to interpret information with which to make business decisions and recommendations.Ability to value and consider the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties.Ability to effectively exchange information with stakeholders.Qualifications:EducationRegistered NurseBachelors or Masters of Nursing degree– preferredTCN Leadership ImmersionTeleios University graduate preferredExperience:6+ years in a Leadership position in Hospice or Palliative CareExtensive experience with leading clinical teams in hospice and palliative careExperience and Knowledge of team formation and buildingExperience of great life struggle or challenge strongly preferredLicensures & Certifications:Active Registered Nurse license in the state of SCActive Professional Affiliation preferredValid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance (or other mode of personal transportation) requiredWe are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect with a diverse workforce; we make staffing decisions based on knowledge, skills, and abilities.
