Director of Accounting and Compliance (Hybrid) LocationResponsible for oversight of the accounting and accounting related activities for the Company's Non-regulated OperationsManage payroll administration and accounting for income taxes

Responsibilities
• Supervise accounting support staff for non-regulated entities• Manage general ledger closing cycle for non-regulated entities• Review journal entries and account reconciliations• Prepare information for press releases, 10-Q, and 10-K• Conduct accounting research for new business ventures and pronouncements• Assist in budget preparation and accounting for commodity transactions• Evaluate contracts for compliance with accounting standards• Oversee corporate tax function and outsourced tax services• Ensure compliance with filing requirements and monitor tax reporting• Ensure accurate and timely payroll payments and compliance
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required, Master's degree is a plus• Minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting and managing employees• Power and Utility and/or Energy industry experience is a plus• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and regulatory accounting/reporting• Independent thinker with strategic planning and research skills• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to drive team accountabilities and employee mentoring
Key Skills Needed
• CPA preferred• Experience in Power and Utility and/or Energy industry• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and regulatory accounting/reporting• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Strategic planning and research skills
