Job Description: Dining Room Server
We are seeking friendly and professional Dining Room Servers to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enrich the lives of our residents through exceptional customer service and innovative culinary experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide outstanding customer service to our residents, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
2. Communicate, interact with, and observe our residents to understand their preferences and needs.
3. Take residents' orders and serve meals and beverages with precision and care.
4. Set up and decorate the dining room tables for mealtimes, creating an inviting atmosphere.
5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of the dining room, menus, kitchen, side-stations, and other areas.
6. Assist with the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
7. Transport used dishes, waste, refuse, and used linens to designated collection areas.
8. Follow and complete daily task assignments, ensuring all work is completed properly.
9. Monitor and record refrigeration temperatures.
10. Learn and remember residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
11. Support special events and catering functions throughout the community.
12. Assist with plating and delivery of meals to remote locations or residents' rooms upon request.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Desire to positively impact others' lives through excellent customer service.
2. Ambition to develop meaningful relationships with our residents.
3. Willingness to learn and receive training (no prior experience required).
4. Minimum age requirement: 16 years old.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
1. Experience working with seniors.
2. Previous customer service experience.
3. 2-3 years of experience working in a commercial restaurant or club setting.
