Dealership Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:Acura of Memphis is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dealership Accounting Clerk. This is a full-time, hourly position in the fast-paced world of the automotive industry. As the Dealership Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting our accounting team in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for our dealership. This individual contributor role is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in their accounting career and become an essential part of our team.Compensation & Benefits:This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $22 to $25 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to a competitive salary, the Dealership Accounting Clerk will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.Responsibilities:Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and paymentsMaintain financial records and reconcile bank statementsPrepare and process daily journal entriesMaintain and update dealership accounting systems and proceduresCommunicate with vendors and suppliers regarding billing and payment inquiriesCollaborate with other departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issuesRequirements:1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the automotive industryKnowledge of accounting principles and proceduresProficient in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting softwareExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be able to pass a background check and drug testEEOC Statement:Acura of Memphis is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes diversity in the workplace.
