Data Integration Specialist position at Arthur GrandLocation: Woodlawn, MD (Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)Long Term contract

Responsibilities
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences• Assemble large, complex data sets to meet business requirements• Align on data architecture requirements with Data Architects• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements• Develop scalable data processing platforms• Support the development of Data Dictionaries and Data Taxonomy• Build data models with Data Architect• Demonstrate strong understanding of coding and programming concepts• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality• Conduct ad-hoc data retrieval for business reports and dashboards• Assess the integrity of data from multiple sources• Manage database configuration and monitor activity and usage• Perform peer review for another Data Engineer's work• Assist with development, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity estimation• Source data from operational systems• Prepare database-loadable files for the Data Warehouse• Monitor and maintain Data Warehouse/ELT• Resolve data quality issues• Support and maintain Business Intelligence functionality• Evaluate and implement patches to the Data Warehouse environment• Provide technical inputs and guidance in customer discussions• Support and mentor junior/mid-level developers• Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions or processes• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field/experience• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust• 7 years of experience with Data Engineering and ETL pipelines• 5 years of experience with data modeling, architecture, and management• 5 years of experience with Relational Database Systems and ETL• 5 years of experience working with data in cloud environments• 3 years of experience in T-SQL, SQL, ELT/ETL performance tuning
Key Skills Needed
• Programming experience in Snowflake, Hadoop, or other Data Warehouse technologies• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 or newer• Experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tool• Experience with semi-structured/unstructured data using JSON, AVRO, Parquet, CSV• Experience with complex multi-server and high availability environments• Experience using Azure Data Factory, Five Tran, Spark or other similar data integration tools• Experience with system monitoring, log management, and error notification• Fundamental network and IT infrastructure knowledge• Strong problem determination, troubleshooting, and resolution skills• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Ability to work analytically to solve tactical and strategic problems
