Today, over 18,000 patients—residents and visitors alike—see our health care teams for both outpatient and inpatient services.SUMMARY:Cybersecurity engineers (information security engineers) identify threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software, then apply their skills to developing and implementing high-tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats and all types of cybercrime.SHIFTS:PRN - as neededESSENTIAL DUTIES:Identify threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software, develop and implement solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, and insider threatsRecommend and write new and changed security policies and proceduresDevelop security standards and best practices for their organizationDevelop/engineer secure, trusted IT systemsTest and identify network and system vulnerabilities through penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and/or red team assessmentsMaintain strong relationship with, and solid knowledge of, EPH's cybersecurity contractors and products. Study reports from these vendors and attend reporting and planning meetings with them.Manage security technology and audit/intrusion systems. Develop and field secure network solutions to protect against advanced persistent threats.Monitor EPH's networks for security breaches and investigate violations when one occurs Work with EPH's cybersecurity contractors when necessaryAssist in preparation of reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.Recommend security enhancements to managementInstall and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive informationResearch the latest information technology (IT) security trendsThrough training and research, stay up to date on current and zero-day threatsUnderstand EPH's firewall, cybersecurity, and encryption tools and be able to advise changes and updates in such systems. In some cases, make those updates.Take the lead in creating education opportunities and phishing tests and other training components for EPH staff and agents in order to help accomplish frontline protection.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in CIS/Computer related field; OR Associate's degree and two years of relevant experienceAdvanced industry certifications such as: OSCP, GSE, or GXPNKnowledge of technology infrastructures using firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy and Security Audits.Knowledge of secure coding practices, ethical hacking, and threat modelingExperience with penetration and vulnerability testingKnowledge of firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocolsAdvanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systemsKnowledge of secure network practicesExperience with advanced persistent threats, phishing and social engineering, network access controllers (NAC), gateway anti-malware and enhanced authenticationBENEFITS:We offer benefits for PRN employees!Retirement plans catered to your needs – all employees (Full Time, Part Time, PRN, Seasonal) are enrolled into our Money Purchase Pension Plan, 401a, which is in lieu of social security contributions.
