This individual will be responsible for creating engaging and comprehensive curriculum content for our Web Design and Development Program. This program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in web development, covering a broad range of topics from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, to WordPress, UI/UX design principles, and more. Primary work assignment is at the SLCC Taylorsville Campus. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Creates and contributes effective curriculum content for Website Design and Development Program. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field.At least 3 years of professional experience in web development or a related industry.At least 2 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching in a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Project management experience.Professional certifications in web development technologies.Prior experience in conducting real-world projects and business collaboration internships within an educational program.Demonstrated ability to incorporate adult learning theories and instructional design principles into educational materials. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Expertise in web development languages and tools, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.Proficiency in WordPress and a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles.Experience with curriculum development and instructional design, preferably in a technical or vocational education setting.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, students, and industry partners.Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple aspects of a large project.Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
