JOB SUMMARY
Maintains and uses CT equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body for diagnostic purposes
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of Radiology
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
High School Diploma required. Associate Degree preferred
Completion of 2 year Radiology Program preferred
Experience
Clinical internship experience required. Some work experience as a CT technician preferred.
License/Certification
ARRT (R), (CT) registry preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Patient Care: Scans patients- (age appropriate protocols, ALARA, consent, Post CT instructions, patient transport, CTA, 3D, and Mip,
Patient Care: Starts IVs
Patient Care: X-rays (takes call, rotates holidays, and performs studies as needed)
Daily QA CT machine (performs QA, logs/record keeping, Monthly QA, and Schedules PM/Maintenance
Compliance: Adheres to and promotes the HMC Mission, Vision, Values; policies and procedures, government and regulatory agency standards: ACR (QA, QC records, policies, protocols mgt. Maintains CEU, 15 tech credentials, license/Annual survey, standards
Administrative: Performs clerical work, PACS, VRAD, Tsystem, medhost, med rad injector, clean & stock room), inventory
OTHER DUTIES
Performs other duties as required. Assists in other areas as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds during a scheduled work shift.
Must be able to see with corrective eye wear
Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases
Able to handle emergency and/or crisis situations
May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary
Transferring, repositioning patients.
Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching for patient care functions.
Ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests including random and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
