Cost Analyst

We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Cost Analyst with a strong attention to detail.
Primary Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Cost Analyst will be to assist in the analysis and reporting of production costs for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team to achieve the company goals.
Essential Duties: Assist in the analysis and reporting of production costs. Perform cost accounting functions including cost allocation and inventory valuation. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operations and reduce cost. Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures. Provide support for special projects as needed. Prepare reports, charts, graphs or other media to interpret and analyze financial trends with regards to expenses or other related financial information. Provide monthly and ad hoc reporting as requested by the business. Analyze financial data and provide insights to the plant management team to drive business decisions. Assist in preparation of accurate forecasts for the plant's financial performance. Work closely with the plant management team to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in cost accounting or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Education/Certification: Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Bachelors preferred).
